THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PARIS PIKE (A Marcus) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) SUPERIOR FORCE (C Zackey) raced wide around the turn and into the straight. b) At the 450m, SASSARI (T Godden) had to ease when awkwardly placed on the outside of ROYAL SOVEREIGN (E Ngwane) which shifted out sharply when racing greenly in the running. Thereafter, SASSARI (T Godden) was hanging in from the 400m. c) At the 150m, ROYAL SOVEREIGN (E Ngwane) appeared to hesitate when awkwardly paced on the outside of SILVER DUCAT (S Moodley) which was hanging out from the 400m. d) In view of the performances of COLOUR OF MONEY (A Arries) (7.50 lengths, 2/1 in the betting) and PARIS PIKE (A Marcus) (9.65 lengths, 28/10 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainers Y Govender and R Hill will be requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of their respective runner on return to stables. e) ROYAL SOVEREIGN (E Ngwane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
