THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DARK TRAVEL (G Lerena) and LONELY NIGHT (J Gates) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 300m, WILLOW LANE (D Schwarz) had to steady and switch out when awkwardly placed between DARK TRAVEL (G Lerena), which shifted out marginally, and SPEECHMAKER (M van Rensburg), which rolled in. b) Jockey K Matsunyane reported that GILDA GRAY (10,75 lengths) changed stride continually in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey B Nyawo reported that GOLDEN SPIRAL made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. d) Jockey C Maujean reported that SAVAGE LOVE (17,00 lengths) changed stride continually in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) Jockey N Klink reported that he felt something amiss with CHENOPOD in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) ROSE WILLOW (*J R Syster), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee A Smith, acting on behalf of Trainer B Webber, advised (AH). When questioned regarding the poor performance of ROSE WILLOW on 2 November 2021, Stable Employee A Smith was unable to provide any suitable explanation. His attention was drawn to the Rules pertaining to In and Out running and he was advised that should this mare not maintain consistent form going forward, it may be suspended. g) SPEECHMAKER, placed third, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
