THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FEATHER THE NEST (K Matsunyane) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) TWELVE OAKS (C Habib) and ROCK ON PHILLY (N Klink) fly jumped leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, SAMOA (G Lerena) became unbalanced when bumped by GIN AND TONIC (M Khan), who was carried in by FEATHER THE NEST (K Matsunyane), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) In view of the performance of GIN AND TONIC (M Khan), (distance 3,25 lengths, betting 9/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey N Klink reported that he felt something amiss with ROCK ON PHILLY in running and he did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning ROCK ON PHILLY, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Stable Employee A Smith, acting on behalf of Trainer B Webber, advised. e) GODDESS OF LIGHT (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
