THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GOLDEN GRACE (L Tarentaal) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. b) ROSIE ROAN (D Ashby) was restless in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Leaving the 1200m NOBLE GRACE (S Khumalo) which pulled hard in the early stages, had to be steadied off the heels of ROSIE ROAN (D Ashby) which rolled in. Thereafter NOBLE GRACE (S Khumalo) raced awkwardly on the bend. Jockey D Ashby appeared before the Board and was advised to ensure that he gives sufficient room to runners on his inside. b) Jockey G van Niekerk reported SUGAR TAX took an awkward stride leaving the 400m and he did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. The vet surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey C Zackey reported that, in his opinion, the performance of WHAT A CHERRY was disappointing. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) PERFECT TRUST, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AE Sands was advised.
