THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FIGHT SONG (M Yeni) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) From the 450m, COUP DE TETE (C Zackey) appeared to lose its action and took a number of awkward strides. As a consequence of this incident, this gelding lost significant momentum and was eased out the race by Jockey C Zackey who subsequently, reported that there was something amiss with this gelding in the running. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer C Hewitson will be requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of COUP DE TETE on return to stables. b) TIME TAKER (A Arries) and FIGHT SONG (M Yeni) came together and brushed on 2 occasions between the 400m and the 250m. c) SHAMPOMPO SHAMPIZI (W Kennedy), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
