THE STARTER REPORTED
A) FLOWER SELLER refused to load and was subsequently withdrawn by the Starter. The starting stall certificate for this filly is withdrawn.
B) ABSOLUTELY FAB was withdrawn by the Course Veterinary Surgeon.
C) MEADOW BEAUTY was slow into stride.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED
A) SAVANNAH WINTER (G Cheyne) over-raced in the early stages.
B) MEADOW BEAUTY (R Fourie) over-raced in the early and middle stages.
C) At approximately the 1300m, SAVANNAH WINTER (G Cheyne) and CAPE DIAMOND (M Mjoka) had to ease when MEZZYOONA (*D B Geerthsen) shifted in.
D) Apprentice D B Geerthsen signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to CAPE DIAMOND (M Mjoka) and SAVANNAH WINTER (G Cheyne) at approximately the 1300m mark whilst riding MEZZYOONA. A penalty of a suspension from riding in races for a period of 7 days was imposed. Suspension dates: 24 December 2021 to 30 December 2021 both days included.
E) Jockey R Munger reported that ROUTE SIXTY SIX changed stride continually in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
F) In view of the performance of DIFFERENT DRUM (C Maujean) (distance 9.45 - betting 20/7) the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
G) In view of the performance of HOT TO TROT (L Mxothwa) (distance 11.45 - betting 50/9) the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
H) In view of the Starter's report with regard to FLOWER SELLER (J Mphanya), this filly's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading into the stalls. Suspension dates: 18 December 2021 to 24 December 2021 both days included. FLOWER SELLER may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer G D Smith was advised.
I) The winner SAVANNAH WINTER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer A C Greeff advised (LM).
