THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) SILENT WAR (A Domeyer) dropped his crop at the 50m. b) PINEAPPLE EXPRESS (R Fourie) was hanging out late. c) SAGE KING (A Marcus) raced wide on the latter part of the bend and into the straight while racing on the outside of SECRET OASIS (R Khathi) which was hanging out. Jockey A Marcus (SAGE KING) called a race review regarding this incident which was followed by an Objection being lodged by Jockey A Marcus, the rider of the 2nd placed horse SAGE KING (A Marcus), against the winner SECRET OASIS (R Khathi) on the grounds of being carried out by SECRET OASIS (R Khathi) between the 650m and the 450m. The Objection Board, after giving due regard to the evidence put forward, reviewing the patrol films and considering the margin of 0,2 of a length between the two horses concerned, was of the opinion that SAGE KING would not have finished ahead of SECRET OASIS had this incident not occurred and therefore overruled the Objection. Jockey A Marcus' deposit was refunded. d) SECRET OASIS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AE Sands was advised. (SC) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) Nil RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER a) Nil THE VETERINARY SURGEON HAD NO REPORTS THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
