THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) JUSTFORTHEEPENNY (K de Melo) was hanging out from the 400m. b) In the concluding stages, RODRIGUEZ (W Kennedy) was inconvenienced and carried out by MONARCHY (S Moodley) which was hanging out from the 300m and shifted out in the concluding stages. A race review was called by Jockey W Kennedy (RODRIGUEZ) into this incident. After reviewing the video and considering the distance of 0.90 lengths between these two horses at the finish, no further action was taken. c) Jockey S Moodley (MONARCHY) appeared before the Board with regard to the above incident and was advised to take stronger measures to keep his mounts on a straight course in future. d) In view of the performance of AIRWAYS LAW (G Wright) (2.75 lengths, 28/10 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) MONARCHY (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Eudey acting on behalf of Trainer M D Miller advised (HM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) JUSTFORTHEEPENNY was ridden by Jockey K de Melo (advised 19.12.21/7h55). b) BRIGADE raced with a compression mask. c) DON'T TOUCH ME raced without blinkers (advised 18.12.21/8h52).
