THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TOP DRAWER (J Gates) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) An Inquiry will be opened to establish why SUPREME QUEST (R Munger) clipped the heels of SHIELD OF ROSES (M Yeni) at approximately the 1100m. b) When afforded the opportunity to place on record any factors which in his opinion may have accounted for the below par performance of HEAVENS GIRL. Jockey W Kennedy explained to the Board that this filly had been very keen in the early stages, had over-raced and tired when challenged by SHIELD OF ROSES (M Yeni) at the 400m. Mr Kennedy has suggested to the connections that they consider a drop back to a 1000m with this filly. In view of the performance of HEAVENS GIRL (W Kennedy), (betting 4/10, distance 8,25 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Assistant Trainer A Peter was requested to report back to the Board on the condition of this filly on return to stables. c) SHIELD OF ROSES (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P F Matchett advised (MdP). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) SCOTTADITO raced with a compression mask on (declared 15 December 2021 at 09H00).
