THE STARTER REPORTED: a) AMARANDI (D de Gouveia) jumped awkwardly and lost one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) INDIGO FIELDS (*S Njokwe) over-raced in the early and middle stages. b) LADY MACBETH (A Mgudlwa) was hanging in, in the concluding stages. c) Jockey J Gates signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.3, in that as the rider of SHAKEN NOT STIRRED, he failed to ride this filly out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stewards thereby prejudicing his chances of obtaining 5th place. According, a penalty of a fine of R2000 was imposed. d) TOP HONOURS (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer N Kotzen advised (ML).
