THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start for all runners. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) MEET AT THE GEORGE (K de Melo) and ANOTHER LOVE (M V'Rensburg) over -raced in the middle stages. b) ZIMBABA (G Lerena) shifted out away from the crop at the 300m. c) At the 300m, GLORY DAYS (T Godden) switched out to continue its run. d) MOUNT LAUREL (S Khumalo) shifted in away from the crop in the concluding stages. e) Jockey A Marcus reported that he felt something amiss with LA QUINTA in the running and did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) Assistant Trainer M Trott acting on behalf of Trainer J Snaith signed an admission of guilt for the contravention of Rule 8.3.1., in that he failed to ensure that the owner's colours were available for the horse LA QUINTA. Accordingly a penalty of a warning was imposed. g) ZIMBABA (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
