MASTER KUYNO refused to load and was subsequently withdraw by the starter. This causeded a delay to the start of this race. The starting stalls certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. PHILADELPHIA ROCK was slow into stride. WILLOUWS HAVOC and WILLOUWS RACER lost 1 length. In view of the Starter's report with regard to MASTER KUYNO, this gelding was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable loading into the starting stalls with a companion. MASTER KUYNO may not be presented for repassing during this period. In view of the performance from GREAT JOE, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. WILLOUWS RACER failed to muster speed and raced detached from the field throughout. GIVE ME DYNAMITE and STUPEFY were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. When afforded the opportunity to explain the improved performance of STUPEFY, Stable Employee van Wyk explained to the Board that this gelding had raced around the turn for the first time in its last run and raced green. Today Trainer Cason had opted to race STUPEFY down the straight and this, in his opinion, accounted for the improvement. CAPTAIN CARLOS raced in Club colours with the Stewards permission. Vet: GREAT JOE - not striding out right front. Scratched: MASTER KUYNO - refused to load.
