THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MISS GIBSON (T Godden) was squeezed out shortly after the start. b) MAGIC IN MOTION (W Kennedy) was restless in the stalls and stubborn to load. c) THREE HEARTS (A Marcus) was stubborn to load. d) STAR CHOICE (M V'Rensburg) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) In view of the Starter's report with regard to MAGIC IN MOTION, this filly's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 04.01.2022 to the 10.01.2022. MAGIC IN MOTION may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer W Badenhorst was advised. (SL) b) MAGIC MOTION (W Kennedy) over-raced in the early stages. c) Assistant Trainer T Fripp acting on behalf of Trainer A Rivallland signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 39.3 in that he failed to vaccinate LET'S NOT LINGER against African Horse Sickness in accordance with the programme of vaccination as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R1000 was imposed. d) SOUTHERN CAPE (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Eudey acting on behalf of Trainer P V Lafferty advised (HM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) ROSE PRINCESS raced equipped with blinkers and with a tongue tie (advised 03.01.22/8h54). b) RUBY SLIPPERS was ridden by Jockey A Mgudlwa (advised 30.12.21/7h23). c) MISS GIBSON Jockey T Godden weighed out at 54.7kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight of 54kg.
