THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) PEUT ETRE MOI (G van Niekerk) took charge of its rider on the way to the start, was checked by the course veterinary surgeon and passed suitable to race. b) ADIRA (C Zackey) shifted out abruptly at the 1000m and again at the 800m which led to ZIPPY OVER (A Marcus) being carried out. c) PEUT ETRE MOI (G van Niekerk) was switched outwards to continue her run leaving the 400m. When questioned, Jockey G van Niekerk told the Stewards that he was unsure if he would have had uninterrupted running had he elected to remain on the inside of the course and had subsequently decided to switch the filly outwards to secure clear running over the final 400m. d) Approaching the 100m TAMIL TIGER (R Fourie) was awkwardly placed between MISS GREENLIGHT (L Mxothwa) and RAISING QUINN (A Domeyer) when shifted in marginally away from the crop. e) RAISING QUINN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised.
