THE STARTER REPORTED A) ALL SWAGGER and GRACE LIGHTNING were stubborn loading. B) JACKBEQUICK was unruly at the start, fly jumped leaving the stalls and was slow into stride. The starting stall certificate of this gelding is withdrawn. C) GRACE LIGHTNING was unruly at the start and slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) In view of the Starter's report with regard to JACKBEQUICK (T M Musekiwa), this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading into the stalls. Suspension dates: 11 January 2022 to 17 January 2022 both days included. JACKBEQUICK may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer G D Smith was advised. B) Jockey T M Musekiwa signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.3 in that he failed to ride the horse JACKBEQUICK out to the end of the race thereby prejudicing his chances of obtaining 5th place. A penalty of a R1500 fine was imposed. C) After the running of this race, Jockey T M Musekiwa was stood down by the Course Medical Officer due to mouth injury. Rule 25.12 applies. D) Trainer J A Visser's attention was drawn to the provisions of Rule 10.5.7 pertaining to ALL SWAGGER (S Naidoo) not having raced for 120 days or more at the time of entries. E) The winner JUST THE WIND was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer S B Kotzen advised (LM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES A) JACKBEQUICK raced equipped with a compression mask (09:38 - 09/01/2022). B) ALL SWAGGER raced equipped with a tongue tie (10:45 - 06/01/2022). C) GRACE LIGHTNING raced equipped with a compression mask (08:51 - 10/01/2022). THERE WERE NO RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED A) JACKBEQUICK post-race distress syndrome. B) ALL SWAGGER abnormal respiratory noise. C) JACK'S JAMBOREE mouth injury. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
