THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KIZZMEKIA (*P Mxoli) and DEVASTATOR (S Brown) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 300m, KIZZMEKIA (*P Mxoli) and COUNTRY FLAME (K Matsunyane) were tightened for galloping room on inside of MYCHANCETODREAM (W Kennedy), which hung in from the 400m. Thereafter, Jockey W Kennedy report that this filly raced with her tongue over the bit. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine MYCHANCETODREAM. b) LETHA (*K A Brewer), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer R R Magner advised (RH). c) OCEANS PRIDE (S Khumalo), placed fourth, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer S Paterson, acting on behalf of Trainer B H Stidolph, advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: None.
