THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HIGH BORN LADY (K de Melo) was stubborn loading. b) BENGUELA COVE (G Lerena) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) FLORENTINE (K Matsunyane) and HEY GORGEOUS (D Schwarz) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, HEY GORGEOUS (D Schwarz) was bumped by BENGUELA COVE (G Lerena), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) BENGUELA COVE (G Lerena) raced green. c) GODDESS OF LIGHT (W Kennedy) hung in in the concluding stages. d) Jockey K Matsunyane reported that FLORENTINE made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) Jockey D Schwarz reported that he felt something amiss with HEY GORGEOUS in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) LA VALLIERE (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
