There was a delay to start of the 2nd Race due to the harrow's being on course and the horses not being able to leave the parade ring. There was a further delay as a result of the farrier having to replace the right front shoe on NEWS STREAM at the start. This gelding subsequently over-reached which resulted in NEWS STREAM having to be withdrawn. SHORTSTOP lost 2 lengths. WILLIAMS LAND jumped awkwardly with his head up as the start was effected losing 1 length. GRADUATE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Yeni reported DRUNKEN SAILOR did not feel comfortable in running. LA BELLA, SHORTSTOP and ULTRA BOOST (AUS) all over-raced in the early stages. Vet: DRUNKEN SAILOR - nothing obvious detected. ULTRA BOOST (AUS) - not striding out left fore. Scratched: NEWS STREAM - over-reached right fore. Withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon.
