THE STARTER REPORTED: a) APOLLO MOON (O Noach) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) CARIBBEAN SUNSET (J Jacobs) was hanging out in the latter stages. b) Jockey R Khathi was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the carded weight on SEEKING PEACE, resulting in a change of rider. Jockey Khathi signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1000.00 c) CHILLY WINTER (K Steyn) returned suffering from a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended, for a period of 60 days, from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr J Batt) d) CASA INVERNO, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GS Kotzen was advised.
