ESCAPE CLUB, EAST LYNNE and ON THE DOUBLE all lost 1 length. SHE'S A DREAM and CONNECT ME were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. EAST LYNNE was squeezed out shortly after the start. In view of the performance of PHILAE the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. Jockey Moodley signed an admission of guilt for a contravention, read in conjunction with Guideline M, in that whilst riding CONNECT ME he used his crop more than 12 times in this race. In coming to a suitable penalty the Board considered the manner in which the crop was used as well as Jockey Moodley's previous record. He was fined. EAST LYNNE raced fitted with ear-muffs. SHE'S A DREAM raced with her tongue tied down. Vet: PHILAE - nothing obvious detected. Assistant Trainer Forster advised to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of this mare on return to stables. Scratched: KOMESHANS FLIGHT - elevated temperature.
