THE STARTER REPORTED A) The Farrier replaced the left front shoe on GREAT GUY. B) ALL THE SEVENS was stubborn loading. The starting stall certificate for this gelding is withdrawn. C) TIMKAT was stubborn loading. D) THE GHAN kicked the back gate in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) THE GHAN (*K Strydom) hung in from the 300m. B) EMPERORS DECREE (R Fourie) hung in from the 200m. C) Jockey C Habib reported that TSAR PETER made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. D) Approaching the 100m, UNCLE CHARLIE (R Munger) was carried out marginally by WINTER VACATION (S Khathi) which shifted out away from the crop and was immediately straightened. E) In view of the Starter's report with regard to ALL THE SEVENS (E Webber), this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading into the stalls. Suspension dates: 22 January 2022 to 28 January 2022 both days included. ALL THE SEVENS may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer M L Turner was advised. F) The winner EMPERORS DECREE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer J P Nel advised (LM).
