Work rider Tshobosa signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention, read with Guideline M on the use of the crop, in that he hit the horse DEAL ME IN more than 12 times in the entire race. He was suspended from riding in one work riders' race. When questioned regarding his actions to circle the field at the 1700m, Work rider Jevu explained to the Board that in a slow run race he decided to improve his position and lead, as he felt that this would best suit ROYAL SIEGE. Work rider Jevu signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention, read with Guideline M on the use of the crop, in that he hit the horse ROYAL SIEGE more than 12 times in the entire race. He was suspended from riding in two work riders' races. When assessing this penalty, this Board took into consideration the excessive number of strikes. OUT OF YOUR LEAGUE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: KALAHARI CHROME - not striding out left front. SMART DEAL - speedy cut right hind. OUT OF YOUR LEAGUE - cut into left hind. GATWICK - scalped right hind.
