THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Between the 600m and the 400m, WINTER FLIGHT (W Kennedy) had to ease on a number of occasions when awkwardly placed on the inside of PRINCEKRESH (*M Zuma) which shifted in continually. Apprentice M Zuma signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.7, in that as the rider of PRINCEKRESH, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to the horse WINTER FLIGHT (W Kennedy) between the 600m and the 400m. Accordingly, a suspension from riding in races for a period of 7 days was imposed. (Suspension Dates : 04.02.22 to the 10.02.22, bdi) b) PRINCEKRESH (*M Zuma) was hanging in from the 200m. c) Jockey M Yeni reported that he felt something amiss with UNCOMPLICATED in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) HERECOMESTHERAIN (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer N Roscoe acting on behalf of Trainer D Kannemeyer advised (HM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) UNCOMPLICATED raced with a cornell collar. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) SIR POM Jockey C Habib weighed out at 54.1kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight of 53.5kg. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) UNCOMPLICATED : Nothing obvious detected. b) PRINCEKRESH : Cut into right hind and returned post-race having cast the right hind shoe. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
