THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) RAIN WEAR (*M Zuma) was hanging in from the 400m. b) HATTA (*R A Venniker) shifted out away from the crop from the 300m. c) BLUE SAILS (*S Hlengwa) shifted out away from the crop from the 250m. d) Apprentice M Katjedi (INDIGO MOON) and Apprentice K Strydom (CHELSEA RIVER) reported their respective mounts took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Apprentice D Geerthsen reported that POPPY OF BAYEUX made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) Apprentice S Hlengwa (BLUE SAILS) completed a satisfactory qualifying ride. g) BLUE SAILS (*S Hlengwa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
