LUNCHPACK was slow into stride. CALANDRA was slow away and lost 1 length. REDAMANCY was nervous, flyjumped leaving the stalls, slow away and lost 1 length. Assistant Trainer Hewitson was advised on behalf of Trainer Bremner to re-school this filly prior to her next engagement. Apprentice Mphanya reported that GERMINATION was not striding out freely in the running. Jockey Mxothwa, the rider of EFFORT, dropped his right-side rein in the concluding stages and regained it shortly before the finishing line. ELUSIVE GREEN, EFFORT and CALANDRA over-raced in the early stages. At the 200m, TEQUILA MARIA had to steady when awkwardly placed between GINA'S GIRL which was hanging out and EFFORT, which rolled in. CALANDRA was disappointed for a clear run between the 400m and the 250m. REDAMANCY flyjumped leaving the stalls, which resulted in Jockey Agrella become severely unbalanced for a number of strides. EFFORT was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: ELUSIVE GREEN - speedy cut right hind. GERMINATION - not striding out left fore.
