THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) FIRE FAERIE (*C Dicken) lost 3 lengths. Trainer N Kotzen will be advised to re-school this mare.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a) At the 1800m, CORDOBESA (M Yeni) shifted in resulting in RAINBOW UNICORN (*K Brewer) clipping the heels of CORDOBESA (M Yeni) and stumbling.
Jockey M Yeni signed an admission of guilt for a suspension of 7 days, for a contravention of Rule 62.2.7, in that as the rider of CORDOBESA, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to the horse RAINBOW UNICORN (*K Brewer) shortly after the start. (Suspension dates to be advised)
b) GOLDEN GROVE (*R Venniker) was hanging out in the final straight.
c) Jockey D De Gouveia reported that he felt something amiss with LAUREL LANE in the concluding stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
d) CAPETOWN BEAUTY (W Kennedy), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Kennedy advised (HM).

b) NOBLE NOVA raced without blinkers and pacifiers and raced equipped with cheek pieces (advised 07.02.22/6h01).
c) LAUREL LANE raced with a compression mask and Jockey D De Gouveia weighed out at 54.9kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight of 54kg.
d) CAPE STAR Jockey S Khumalo weighed out at 53.5kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight of 53kg.
