THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RAGNAR LOTHBROK (K de Melo) and AULD MUG (G van Niekerk) were restless in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the 350m DRAGONFLY (A Domeyer) and RAGNAR LOTHBROK (K de Melo) brushed. b) At the 250m BRAMHALL PHOENIX (G Cheyne), which was attempting a run on the outside of TRAVEL MASTER (J Jacobs), was carried out when TRAVEL MASTER (J Jacobs) shifted out. Thereafter BRAMHALL PHOENIX (G Cheyne) commenced to hang out and shifted out away from TRAVEL MASTER which continued to shift out, resulting in BRAMHALL PHOENIX (G Cheyne) having to be steadied away from the heels of TRAVEL MASTER (J Jacobs) at the finish. Jockey G Cheyne called for a race review regarding this incident and after viewing the race recording and taking into account the distance between first and second placed horses (0.5 lengths), took no further action. The Stipendiary Board has adjourned to give this incident further consideration. c) TRAVEL MASTER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Crawford was advised.
