THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HINCKLEY (K de Melo) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the 150m OVER TWO YOU (C Zackey) had to be steadied when close to the heels of DEEP IMPACT (G Cheyne) which shifted out away from POLICY TARGET (G van Niekerk) which was hanging out from the 300m, shifted out at the 150m and proved difficult to straighten. b) HINCKLEY (K de Melo) was hanging out in the latter stages. c) In view of the performance of THEFUTUREISBRIGHT (*R Venniker) (Betting 9/2 ; Distance 3.65), which was hanging out from the 200m, the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) POLICY TARGET, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
