THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) MIGHTY MASHONA (D Dillon) was hanging out from the 300m. b) GIAMBATTISTA (D De Gouveia) was carried out for a short distance by MIGHT MASHONA (D Dillon) at the 200m. c) At the 150m, LADOOSHKA (C Zackey) was steadied momentarily and switched in off the heels of THUNDER MASALA (S Moodley) which shifted out away from the crop. A race review was called into this incident by a Stipendiary Steward. After reviewing the patrol films of the race, the Stipendiary Steward was of the opinion that this incident had no bearing on the result of the race and therefore took no further action. However, Jockey S Moodley the rider of THUNDER MASALA, appeared before the Board with regard to this incident, the Stipendiary Board was satisfied that Jockey S Moodley was sufficiently clear of other runners but was advised to correct his mounts when they shift ground in races going forward. d) MIGHTY MASHONA (D Dillon), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer M Naidoo acting on behalf of Trainer P B Muscutt advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) THUNDER MASALA raced equipped with blinkers (advised 11.02.22/13h58).
