THE STARTER REPORTED: a) IMBEJEJE (D Dillon) lost 2 lengths. b) TAMBORA (J Gates) jumped awkwardly and lost 5 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) In view of the Starter's report with regard to TAMBORA (J Gates), this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 17.02.22 to the 23.02.22. TAMBORA may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer C Binda was advised. (MS) b) After being slow away, TAMBORA (J Gates) commenced to over-race and hung out badly proving difficult to assist. Thereafter, at the 400m, this gelding commenced to hang in. c) Apprentice R Venniker reported that she felt something amiss with PHILISPIEL in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer M Roberts will be advised to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of this gelding on return to the stables. d) Assistant Trainer J Buckler acting on behalf of Trainer G Kotzen reported that IMBEJEJE coughed post race. e) FOREST JUMP (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Moore advised (HM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) GINGERSPATHTOGLORY raced with a compression mask. b) MOVIE MAGIC raced with pacifiers and without blinkers (advised 16.02.22/6h47). c) QUEST FOR THE BEST Jockey D De Gouveia weighed out at 55kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight of 54.5kg.
