THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PICTURE PERFECT (J Mariba) refused to load. The starting stall certificate for this colt has been withdrawn. Trainer W H Marwing was advised (GT). b) WHAFEEF (C Habib) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) An inquiry will be opened to establish why OCEAN WARRIOR (W Kennedy) had to ease at approximately the 1000m. b) At approximately the 100m, OCEAN WARRIOR (W Kennedy) had to steady momentarily off the heels of WHAFEEF (C Habib), which shifted out sharply away from the crop and was immediately straightened. c) In view of the Starter's report with regard to PICTURE PERFECT, this colt's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading with a companion. Suspension dates: 20 February 2022 to 26 February 2022. PICTURE PERFECT may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
