THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TOMBOLA (L Mohapi) and GRUE OF ICE (S Veale) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) The saddle on CAPRICCIO (C Zackey) slipped back in the running. This was confirmed by the video footage and the Veterinary Surgeon. b) In the concluding stages, TOMBOLA (L Mohapi) was tightened and inconvenienced on the inside of AND WE DANCED (W Kennedy) which shifted in. Thereafter, TOMBOLA (L Mohapi) was further inconvenienced on the outside of GRUE OF ICE (S Veale) which shifted out slightly. Jockey W Kennedy (AND WE DANCED) appeared before the Board with regard to his role in this interference and was advised to take stronger measures to correct his mounts when they shift ground going forward. c) Jockey K de Melo reported that LADY OF LUTETIA did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey D De Gouveia reported that KILDONAN BAY did not stride out freely in the running and as a result he did not persevere with his ride in the concluding stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) CRAZY BLUES (*R Venniker), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer L Karriem advised (LB). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) FATEFUL MISTRESS raced with a compression mask. b) PRINCESS TEA was ridden by Apprentice K Strydom (advised 19.02.22/8h34). c) GRUE OF ICE raced with a compression mask.
