THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GALAXY RAIDERS (C Habib) was restless in the stalls and thereafter was slow losing one length. b) LOUVAIN (C Maujean) was slow losing two lengths. c) ME TIME (D Schwarz) stood, losing many lengths. The starting stall certificate for this mare has been withdrawn. Stable Employee F Naude, acting on behalf of Trainer C Spies, advised (PHvdW). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) BELLA ROSA (*P Mxoli) stumbled badly shortly after the finish line. b) Jockey D Schwarz reported that he felt something amiss with ME TIME in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. c) Jockey S Brown was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking DANCE LESSON more than twelve times in the entire race. Jockey S Brown signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R 1,000.00 was imposed. When assessing this penalty, the Board took into consideration the number of times the crop was used (13) and Jockey S Brown's recent record with regards to this Rule and Guideline (2). d) In view of the Starter's report with regard to ME TIME, this mare's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable jumping from the starting stalls. Suspension dates: 23 February 2022 to 1 March 2022. ME TIME may not be presented for re- passing during this period. Stable Employee F Naude, acting on behalf of Trainer C Spies, advised. e) BELLE OF BELIZE (R Danielson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer A Peter, acting on behalf of Trainer P A Peter, advised (RS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) GOLDEN ASPEN was ridden by Jockey J Penny (declared 22 February 2022 at 08H03). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) LOUVAIN raced with a compression mask (declared 16 February 2022 at 12H37). b) GALAXY RAIDERS raced equipped with blinkers (declared 21 February 2022 at 15H34).
