THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) ROCKY COAST (A Arries) failed to muster early speed, raced detached from the field in the early stages and thereafter, this gelding finished its race off strongly. b) At approximately the 1800m, ROCKY COAST (A Arries) was momentarily inconvenienced on the inside of FEVER (S Moodley) which rolled in marginally. c) Jockey K de Melo reported that he felt something amiss with CAESURA in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer A Wright will be advised to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of this gelding on return to stables. d) Apprentice R Venniker reported that PRINCE VIHAAN changed stride continually in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) GALABIER (*G Pieterse), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer L Karriem advised (HM).
