THE STARTER REPORTED: a) QUEEN'S NAVY (S Brown) was slow losing one length. b) OCEANS PRIDE (C Maujean) was squeezed out shortly after the start. c) FLYING VIXEN (R Danielson) jumped out sharply leaving the stalls. d) CRITICAL THINKING (K de Melo) was stubborn loading, restless in the stalls and thereafter jumped out sharply leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) CRITICAL THINKING (K de Melo), OCEANS PRIDE (C Maujean) and RED HOT (R Munger) suffered varying degrees of interference on the outside of FLYING VIXEN (R Danielson) which jumped outwards sharply leaving the stalls. b) Shortly after the start, OCEANS PRIDE (C Maujean) was steadied momentarily in anticipation of being awkwardly placed between CRITICAL THINKING (K de Melo) and IN THE ETHER (*P Mxoli) which rolled out marginally. c) SUNDROP (C Zackey) over-raced in the early stages. d) Jockey M Khan reported that AZUCAR did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) Jockey K de Melo reported that he felt something amiss with CRITICAL THINKING in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) GILDED BUTTERFLY (K Matsunyane) the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
