THE STARTER REPORTED A) JACKBEQUICK was stubborn loading, reared in the stalls and got both front legs into the adjacent stall, was taken out, examined by the Course Veterinary Surgeon and was withdrawn. The starting stalls certificate for this gelding is withdrawn. B) KING OF LUV which was drawn next to JACKBEQUIKCK was examined and was passed suitable to race. These incidents caused a delay to the start of this race. C) IL LUNGO was stubborn loading. D) DAWN RAIDER was slow away and lost 1 length. E) QUESTION THE STARS was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) Approaching the 200m, QUESTION THE STARS (K Minnie) was steadied away from the heels of BOLD PREMIER (W Agrella). B) Leaving the 200m, DAWN RAIDER (*K Strydom) changed stride awkwardly. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. C) INTO THE STORM (J P v'd Merwe) raced green. D) In view of the Starter's report with regard to JACKBEQUICK (J Mphanya), this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 30 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading into the stalls. Suspension dates: 12 March 2022 to 10 April 2022 both days included. JACKBEQUICK may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer G D Smith was advised. E) The winner IL LUNGO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer A C Greeff advised (LM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES A) ABAYYAAN raced without blinkers (17:10 - 10/03/2022).
