THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CLEAVER GREENE (R Fourie) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) ANYTIME CHAMP (J Mariba) was stubborn loading. Trainer J A Soma was advised to reschool this colt prior to his next engagement (GT). Race 8 contd. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) ROZARA (R Munger) hung in from the 300m. b) In the concluding stages, CLEAVER GREENE (R Fourie) was bumped by GALLIC CHIEF (M Yeni), which shifted out significantly away from the crop. As a consequence of this, GALLIC CHIEF became unbalanced. Jockey M Yeni appeared before the Board with regards to this incident and was advised to make more of an effort to keep his mounts straight in races. c) Jockey W Kennedy reported that IT'S ABOUT TIME made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) ALULA'S STAR (*P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S T Pettigrew advised (SM). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) IT'S ABOUT TIME abnormal respiratory noise. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
