THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SECRET GIVER (C Habib) was restless in the stalls and thereafter slow losing one length. b) DARK TRAVEL (G Lerena), ELUSIVE SWANN (C Maujean), CALL ME MASTER (M Yeni) and GILDA GRAY (D David) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) As the start was effected, SECRET GIVER (C Habib) became restless and nudged the front starting stall gate, simultaneously SECRET GIVER (C Habib) sat back in the stalls which resulted in one of the back gates opening and as a consequence, this gelding was slow away losing one length. The Board was satisfied that this gelding was in the stalls as the start was effected and had not gained an advantage from nudging the front gates and therefore took no further action. b) At approximately the 150m, LETSDOIT (D Schwarz) shifted out sharply and was immediately straightened. c) In the concluding stages, whilst engaged in a tight finish, ELUSIVE SWANN (C Maujean) and SECRET GIVER (C Habib) were carried in by CALL ME MASTER (M Yeni), which shifted in away from the crop. d) Jockey C Maujean, the rider of ELUSIVE SWANN, accidentally dropped his crop shortly before the finish line. e) SECRET GIVER (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
