THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BITE MY LIP (C Bantam) jumped awkwardly, losing one length. b) BLUE EYED GIRL (C Zackey) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) WAYWARD GIRL (C Orffer) was hanging in in the latter stages. b) Jockeys K Steyn and A Andrews, the riders of ANYWHICHWAY and BABYITSCOLDOUTSIDE, reported these fillies made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine. c) PARISIENNE GIRL, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GS Kotzen was advised.
