THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) ANGEL'S (K Matsunyane) refused to load. The starting stall certificate for this filly has been withdrawn. Stable Employee C Jena, acting on behalf of Trainer P F Matchett, was advised (GT).
b) TRIED AND TRUE (Wes Marwing) jumped outwards leaving the stalls.
c) LADY GREENSLEEVES (C Habib) and STREET'S AHEAD (C Zackey) were slow into stride.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) TRIED AND TRUE (Wes Marwing) proved reluctant proceed to the start and had to be led.
Trainer B B Ruiters was advised that should this filly behave in a similar manner in future, she may be suspended.
b) Leaving the 400m, TRIED AND TRUE (Wes Marwing), which rolled out, and LADY GREENSLEEVES (C Habib) came together and brushed.
c) STREET'S AHEAD (C Zackey) hung in from the 400m, proving difficult to assist.
d) In view of the Starter's report with regard to ANGEL'S (K Matsunyane), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading with a companion.
Suspension dates: 27 March 2022 to 2 April March 2022. ANGEL'S may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Stable Employee C Jena, acting on behalf of Trainer P F Matchett, was advised.
e) MISS COOL (W Kennedy), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
