THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CASTLE TIME (L Mxothwa) stook awkwardly in the stalls and jumped awkwardly outwards. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) CASTLE TIME (L Mxothwa) over raced in the early stages. b) Jockey B Fayd'Herbe, the rider of BOISTEROUS BUDDY which tired quickly in the latter stages, reported this gelding made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine. c) Jockey K Steyn reported KWACHA DAWN did not stride out freely in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) AXL, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee C Dixon, acting on behalf of Trainer WA Nel, was advised. (CvA) e) BOWLED OVER, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
