THE STARTER REPORTED: a) NATIVE TONGUE (A Marcus) was restless in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start, CAT DADDY (C Zackey) and MATTERHORN (R Khathi) came together and brushed. b) Between the 300m and 200m, NATIVE TONGUE (A Marcus) was inconvenienced for a number of strides when awkwardly placed on the heels of SHAMPOMPO SHAMPIZI (W Kennedy) which rolled out. Thereafter, NATIVE TONGUE (A Marcus) shifted out away from the crop and finished its race off strongly. c) Jockey K de Melo reported that CHIJMES took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey A Marcus reported that NATIVE TONGUE did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) CAT DADDY (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
