THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Between the 1000m and the 800m, TRUE BRIT (M Yeni) ran onto and clipped the heels of PHILISPIEL (*R Venniker) on two occasions. Thereafter, Apprentice R Venniker reported that she felt something amiss with PHILISPIEL in the running and as a result she did not persevere with her ride from the 300m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine PHILISPIEL. The Stewards after giving regard to the circumstances of the incident were satisfied that there was no rider error involved and took no further action. b) CAVALIERI (N Patel) was ridden outwards from the 200m. Simultaneously, CALLMEMRGREENLIGHT (A Mgudlwa) was ridden inwards from the 200m. The Stipendiary Board was satisfied that both riders were sufficiently clear from other runners when shifting ground, however, were reminded to ensure that they keep their mounts on a straight course in races in future. c) LETABA (*D Geethsen) was hanging in and shifted in from the 150m. d) LETABA (*D Geerthsen), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Austin acting on behalf of Trainer S Humby advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) CAVALIERI raced with alumites (advised 31.03.22/10h22). b) TRUE BRIT raced with a tongue tie. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) PHILISPIEL : Not striding out right hind. SCRATCHINGS : a) KNIGHT WARRIOR : Change of venue (Trainer - 03.04.22/7h20). b) PEDRO : Bolted while loading on the float at Summerveld Training Centre (Trainer - 03.04.22/13h34).
