THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) THE GREAT ROMANTIC (+A Feni) was slow into stride.
b) MONTBLEU (+J Gwingwizha) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) At approximately the 2200m, the saddle on LADYOFMYLIFE (+G Dadamasi) which was racing at the back of the field slipped forward placing Workrider Dadamasi at a severe disadvantage and as a consequence of this, LADYOFMYLIFE raced through the field to take up a leading position. Thereafter at approximately the 1800m, Workrider Dadamasi removed his feet from the stirrup irons and was unable to assist this filly in running.
b) Workrider T Matsoele was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 in that he used his crop in a manner which was in contravention of the conditions of the Race, by striking ROYAL SEIGE on six occasions with his crop, when his crop hand was off of the reins.
Workrider Matsoele signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in three Workrider races. Dates of Suspension: 26 April, 10 May and 19 May 2022.
c) KISSED BY FIRE (+S Mosia), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Nieuwenhuizen advised (AH).
WORKRIDER CHANGES:

Workrider S Siphika was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the correct carded weight on the horse ELUSIVE ROCKET or at the higher weight confirmed in his engagement with the Trainer. Workrider Siphika signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in One Workrider race.

e) LADYOFMYLIFE Workrider G Dadamasi weighed out at 57,2kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight.
