The start of this Race was delayed due to the farrier having to refit the left front shoe on PRINCESS LOMITA at the start. CANDLE ROCK lost one length. LINEAR was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer L Forbes advised. Trainer Forbes was questioned with regard to the improved performance of LINEAR compared to this filly's previous performance on the 20 October 2019. Mrs Forbes explained that in the previous run, LINEAR had been above herself on the day and over-raced. She further stated that in view of these facts, this filly had not stayed the 1400m distance of the previous race. Mrs Forbes was of the view that the previous run had taken the edge off this filly and the drop in distance in today's race had accounted for the improvement shown. The Board adjourned to review the previous performance of LINEAR. FRENCH LEGEND was hanging in over the final 350m and shifted in carrying DIECI inwards at approximately the 250m. CANDLE ROCK was hanging out in the latter stages. PRINCESS LOMITA never travelled in the running. In view of this, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. PROCRASTINATION took no interest in running. In view of the performance of ROCKING RUBY, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. Vet: PRINCESS LOMITA - not striding out both fore. PROCRASTINATION - coughing. ROCKING RUBY - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: EXTRAVARGANT - mouth abscess.
