THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LOVE BITE (+J Gwingwizha) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) FLOREANA ISLAND (+T Ncume) and TASTE MAKER (+D Botha) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) BRITISH DIVA (+T Matsoele) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) LEXI LOU (+S Mosia) commenced to give ground to the field from the 200m. b) Leaving the 200m, Work Rider C Mabaya became dislodged from BEADED GOWN, which took an awkward stride and fell. Work Rider C Mabaya was taken to the medical centre for observation. c) Work Rider T Ncume, the rider of FLOREANA ISLAND, appeared before the Board and was advised against the practice of looking around in races. d) Work Rider J Gwingwizha, the rider of LOVE BITE, appeared before the Board in the presence of Work Rider Welfare Officer, Mr M Mienie, and was shown the patrol films of the race. Notwithstanding the fact that Work Rider J Gwingwizha won the race, he was reminded of his obligation to ride his mount out to the end of the race. e) LOVE BITE (+J Gwingwizha), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee C Jena, acting on behalf of Trainer P F Matchett, advised (AH). WORK RIDER CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) TASTE MAKER raced with a tongue tie on (declared 8 April 2022 at 09H51). b) SMELTING raced without blinkers (declared 10 April 2022 at 21H20). c) MYCHANCETODREAM raced equipped with a compression mask (declared 13 April 2022 at 10H55) and a tongue tie on (declared 14 April 2022 at 05H26). d) GAETANA raced equipped with alumites in front and unshod behind (declared 13 April 2022 at 19H47). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) BEADED GOWN fell during the race. Examined and nothing obvious was detected. SCRATCHED: a) STORMY LASS abnormal blood count (Trainer) (Rule 53.5 applies). b) FUTURE THINKER off feed (Trainer) (Rule 53.5 applies). c) GAETANA bolted the course (NHA / 16H06) Betting 100/1. Immediate reinstatement, DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
