The Starting Stall Certificate for this filly has been withdrawn. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In view of the Starter's report with regard to WESTERN VIEW, this filly has been suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping on terms with a companion on a race-day. Suspension dates: 22 April 2022 to 28 April 2022. WESTERN VIEW may not be presented for repassing during this period. Stable Employee F Naude advised (GT). b) After being slow away, WESTERN VIEW (M van Rensburg) commenced to hang out badly in running proving difficult to assist. As a consequence, Jockey van Rensburg did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. Stable Employee F Naude was advised to take the necessary corrective measures that this filly improves her racing manners in future. c) ON CUE (R Munger) hung out from the 200m. d) At approximately the 150m, Jockey M Yeni (JAVA HOUSE) accidentally struck his colours cap off his skull cap. e) Jockey G Lerena was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking SAMOA more than twelve times in the entire race. Jockey Lerena signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R1500 was imposed. When assessing this penalty, the Board took into consideration the number of times the crop was used (15) and Jockey Lerena's recent record with regards to this Rule and Guideline (2). f) SPACE RACE (W Kennedy), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
