THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) CRUISE CONTROL (*K Brewer) was stubborn loading, taken out, checked by the course veterinary surgeon and passed suitable to race, causing a further delay.
b) FEELING FOXY (G Lerena) was stubborn loading.
c) CLIFF TOP (G Cheyne) was slow into stride.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) The start of this race was delayed due to a technical issue with the photo-finish camera.
b) Leaving the 400m FOREST SPY (R Munger) and KHAYA'S HOPE (J van der Merwe), which were hanging in from the 400m and difficult to assist, brushed on a number of occasions.
c) In view of the report from the Starter regarding CRUISE CONTROL (*K Brewer), this colt's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for fourteen days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 23/04/2022 to 06/05/2022 inclusive). CRUISE CONTROL may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
d) In view of the report from the starter regarding FEELING FOXY (G Lerena) Trainer A Greeff will be advised to have this filly re-schooled before her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10.
e) CLIFF TOP, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A Greeff was advised. (LM)
