JUNIPER LANE, MAH BIN and SAGUNTUM lost two lengths. LIQUIDITY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. All the riders who participated in this Race appeared before the Board and were advised of their obligation to ride in accordance with the Rules of The National Horseracing Authority, with the emphasis placed on riding their mounts out to the end of the race, to keep their mounts on a straight course and to keep both their hands on the reins for the entire race. CLASS OF EIGHT was hanging out throughout. LIQUIDITY changed legs, faltered and rolled inwards at approximately the 150m. Thereafter Workrider Xabendlini removed his right hand off the rein to slap this gelding down neck which resulted in LIQUIDITY shifting inwards slightly. Simultaneously JUNIPER LANE shifted outwards slightly result in these horses making contact as they passed the finish line. A race review was called by Trainer Naidoo into the above incident. After reviewing the patrol video from the various angles, no further action was taken. Workrider Xabendlini signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention in that as the rider of LIQUIDITY, he failed to follow a reasonable instruction given by the Chief Stipendiary Steward, by removing his right hand off the rein and striking this gelding down the neck shortly before the finish. He was suspended from riding in the next KZN work-riders race. MAH BIN is a gelding and not a colt as carded (Notification of gelding was investigated - administration error). Vet: DANCING PRINCESS - coughing. Scratched: LOONEY BIN - sold without engagement. SALAH'S GIRL - insufficient recovery time.
