THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LUNA ECLIPSE (*R Venniker) was stubborn to load. b) SWISS BANK (S Brown) fly-jumped leaving the stalls and thereafter lost one length. c) FLOWER SEASON (A Arries) and ALABAMA SKY (*G Pieterse) lost one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) RASPBERRY BERET (S Veale) over-raced in the early and middle stages. b) ANGEL'S WISH (C Zackey) was hanging in from the top of the straight. c) WINTER'S DESTINY (K de Melo) was hanging in from the 400m. Jockey K de Melo reported that the saddle on this filly slipped sideways in running. This was confirmed by the Veterinary Surgeon. d) ALABAMA SKY (*G Pieterse) was hanging in from the 300m. e) In the concluding stages, DEMIGOD (W Kennedy) which shifted in away from the crop and LUNA ECLIPSE (*R Venniker) came together and brushed. f) LUNA ECLIPSE (*R Venniker), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
